Honoring the Game means that your team will have respect for the ROOTS of the game:

2010-2011 Pee Wee Age Division

VEHA plans on two Pee Wee Teams this year competing in the CDYHL - Pee Wee Travel teams will have a minimum of 2 practices a week in addition to dryland exercises and 16 -20  League games.  Players are expected to play in the Vail Sportsmanship Tournament and participate in the Pond Hockey Championships in addition to 2 or 3 additional tournaments.

VEHA will also have a Pee Wee / Bantam recreational program with 1 practice a week and 8 -10 games during the cours of the year.

CAHA CUP STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Following the reccommended USA HOCKEY POLICIES CAHA most likely will not have a state championship playoff in 2011.  It should also be noted begining in 2013 USA Hockey will no longer sponsor Pee Wee National or District Championships at the Pee Wee Level.  The general findings are the presure and intensity at this age level has a detrimental effect on the overall retention of players at this age.  A large percentage of players drop out of hockey because of the intense pressure placed on them by parents, fellow players, coaches, etc.

Currently CCYHL, CDYHL and RMYHL are planning a playoff between the leagues to determine bragging rights as the best of the 3 leagues.

A Discussion Between Jeff Serowik (Pro Ambitions Hockey) and Sports Psychologist, Dr. Fred Neff

Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I have been meaning to write this article for years as I feel strongly about the success I had from seeking council with my two sports psychologists during my pro career. Dr. Fred Neff and Max Offenberger are the sports psychologists that helped me during my own hockey career as well as many other professional athletes. They have been, and will continue to come, to my Pro Ambitions boarding camps to speak to my campers. I have also referred them to many parents and campers who have come to me through the years interested in a sports psychologist for their young athletes.
