USA HOCKEY COACHING CLINICS

Coaching Certification

Local area clinics have been completed for the 2009-2010 season.  You can still use the link to USA Hockey to register for a clinic in the Denver area.  USA clinics are valid no matter where the clinic is hosted.

 
After December 31, 2010, non-certified coaches or coaches with expired certifications will no longer be allowed to participate in all on-ice/off-ice team practices and games.
 
Here’s how you go about registering.  HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD HANDY.
 
1.             Go to the VEHA website of www.vaileaglehockey.com, click on “Links”, and then click on USA Hockey “Visit Websites”.  (OR, you may go directly to the USA Hockey website of http://www.usahockey.com//Template_Usahockey.aspx?NAV=CO_12&ID=220328
2.             Under “Coaches” on the USA Hockey top toolbar, click on “Coaching Clinics”.
3.             Download and read the Coaches Registration Manual and create a user profile on USAHockey.com.
4.             After completion, under “Commonly Searched Links”, click on “List of USA Hockey Coaching Clinics”.
5.             Under “Clinic Catalog”, fill in:
1.     Clinic Level: CEP Level 1 (or whatever level you are applying for.)
2.     District: Rocky Mountain
3.     Date: TBA.     City: Avon
5.     State: CO
6.     Zip: 81620
7.     Then click on “Search”.
6.             The search will pull up “RM Avon, CO, Level 1, Oct 16, 2009” (or Level 2 or 3, whichever you’re applying for), click on this link.
7.             Log-in with your Username and Password, OR “register” to continue with the clinic registration process.  Once logged-in, follow the registration instructions.
 
LEVEL 3 ON-LINE RECERTIFICATION:
 
Please note that if you received your initial Level 3 certification during the 2007-2008 season, your certification EXPIRES ON DEC. 31, 2010.
 
You may sign up for the Level 3 clinic on  OR you may take the on-line Level 3 recertification by going to www.usahockey.com and clicking on “Level 3 Recertification” on the left toolbar or under “Coaches” on the top toolbar.  I also have to recertify for this coming season, and I understand we need to devote at least an hour and a half of computer time to the on-line version.  I’ll know more when I go through the process.
 
Let’s make sure we have all the i’s crossed and the t’s dotted before the expiration deadline of December 31, 2010!!!!
