Midget Minor Leagues combined play

CCYHL and CDYHL have combined their Midget teams into one league with each team in the combined league playing each other twice. The combined league is expected to have between 12 and 15 teams.

If you sign up to play Midget hockey you are committing to play the full season,  VEHA will NOT REFUND any monies paid, and may persue collection action on unpaid balances owed.

Midgets 2011-2012

VEHA will NOT field a Midget Major (17 & 18 yrs old) age division team for the 2011- 2012 season.  Those Midget Major age players who fail to make the Battle Mountain Huskie Team will be welcomed to play with either Summit Lightning or the Glenwood Midget Teams.

VEHA will sponsor a Midget  Major Pre High School Teams IF there are enough midget age players who arewilling to commit to the practices and tournaments.  Contact Dave Peel for guidence.

The VEHA Mountaineers will sponsor a Midget MINOR (15 and 16 yr. olds) team for the 2011- 2012 season. The minor team will compete inthe combined CDCC Midget league.  Expect 16 -24 league games.  There is also an end of season tournament, single elimination for the AVS cup.

VEHA strongly believes minor age players should register and play for the mountaineers throughou tthe season.  VEHA is keenly  aware many players of this age would rather sit on the bench during games and be associated with the Huskies than play minor club hockey.  However, these players also loose or stagnate their development by missing the game and tournament experienced  by be active and contributing players on a team whose size and experience is more equal to theirs. Being checked by a 200lb eighteen yr. old defenseman can be very intimidating to a 150lb freshman or sophmore.  VEHA asks you to carefully consider what is best developmently for your player.

Casey Welch will be the Midget Minor Coach.
