Congratulations Pee Wee A's - CDYHL League Champions & Inter-League Champions
Congraulations to the Pee Wee B's - Runner Up in CDYHL
VEHA Pee Wee A's won the State Inter-League AVS CUP Pee Wee A Tournament March 18th at the Pepsi Center, beating their league rival Pueblo. The road to the finals was not an easy one, having to get past a talented Boulder Club in the semifinals whom had beaten them in the finals of two previous tournaments. TheY were well into the second overtime befor Tanner scored the game winner. The teams season record was 37-2-2.
D.R. Thoughts from the CDYHL
We feel we need to remind all associations , teams and parents that the D.R. program is NOT ABOUT THE PLAYOFFS !!
The D. R. was initiated to help associations provide a venue for lesser skilled or less experienced Bantam , Peewee and Squirt players to have a place to play and grow during the regular season on a B or C team.
It can also provide a venue for lesser skilled or less experienced Bantam and Peewee A or Squirt B players to catch their breath a bit and grow on the B or C team that they support.
Each year we tend to forget this at playoff time when associations need to make a decision to not allow the B or C teams to go to playoffs in order to support the A or B team that supported them all year.
We feel that concerning playoffs, if numbers are sketchy, the utmost consideration should be given to the higher level team and the players that helped allow a DR team to have a successful regular season.
Please keep this in mind in the coming weeks. CDYHL Ex. Board.
